We’ve put in the hours and offseason stretches of conditioning and drills on our own, strengthening our weak spots and working hard to make a starting spot or improve our skills. We’ve stayed up late studying film, noting slight adjustments to make and looking for opportunities to excel over our rival teams.
We want the chance to show the world we have what it takes. We want to reach the high point in our careers and live in the top condition our competition demands.
Same with our spiritual training. We’ve learned we are created by a good God who fashioned us in His image and set us apart to do good things. We’ve learned sin separated us from a holy God, but in His love, He sent His Son Jesus to die the death we deserve on the cross, and that He was raised from the dead, giving us new life through the gift of salvation.
We’ve learned what it looks like to live a life mirrored by Jesus, how to grow deep in God’s Word, how to get closer to Him in prayer. We’ve learned to surround ourselves with people who will encourage and challenge us in our faith.
Now, it’s time to show the world the glory of God.
Let’s take this faith to teammates who have no idea about the God who loves them. To coaches who need to see there’s a better, lasting way to lead. And to everyone in our sphere of influence—classmates, family, neighbors—who want to know why you’re different.
Don’t think you’re up for the task?
Think again.
God believes in you. He’s equipped you and strategically placed you where you are and who you’re around. You are strong. You are bold. You are ready.
It’s time.
